Opened in 2011 Saxon + Parole was named after two prize-winning New York-bred racehorses—paying homage to the numerous horse stables that once populated the Bowery in New York City. Rather than reinvent wheels, Saxon + Parole is known for well-executed takes on classics with surprising twists. Michelin-starred Chef Brad Farmerie has developed a menu of classic American fare with contemporary touches that pay homage to the restaurant’s New York City roots

The interior design of Saxon + Parole thoughtfully encapsulates the spirit of the neighborhood’s past, paying homage to the equestrian roots that are woven into its history. Meanwhile, the restaurant’s lauded beverage program presented an innovative spin on bespoke spirits, syrups, bitters, freshly pressed juices, and house-crafted sodas. This inventive approach earned Saxon + Parole the distinguished title of “Best Restaurant Bar” by Tales of the Cocktails
